It all started in a parking lot in Boca Raton, Florida. We were a tight group of cyclists, all wearing different kits and thought it would be cool to form a “team.” Melissa and Scott Wu were already running a non-profit called Animal Matters so it was proposed to create a team that celebrated & promoted animal adoption.
Pitbull Racing was born. Bob Pfarr (RIP), Patrick Monlevade, Scott Wu, Melissa Wu were key in the team creation. With so many wonderful athletes joining throughout the years, the group has remained close in both our athletic adventures and our personal lives. We’re so lucky to have found so many other animal-loving athletes around the world who have joined our mission. Teammates forever!
